Back to Reality

Hello all,
This is me sitting in the kitchen with my lap top in front of me and a cup of Milo (Thai hot chocolate) at hand. This is the sad part of every trip usually the next month or so. Signing back into reality and getting on with getting on. Life here is great, I am starting to be more up to jumping into sight seeing here on the island.. I don't think I'll survive without adventures anymore.. everyday in Thailand was sooo much fun, you need to spunk up your everyday life. So today mom and i are going Kayaking! Should be a blast. I miss Thailand very much so. The warm breeze, the turquoise water, feeling completely relaxed, sheer enjoyment of each day and the people we've met. But Steph and I are planning on encouraging each other to enjoy what we have and which part of the world we are in no matter what is going on. Things such as surfing trips, sailing to an island, camping and all sorts of fun times!! Which is good, I just hope i am traveling sooner than i think. What a wonderful time Steph and I have had on our trip to Thailand, we couldn't imagine a better trip. Thank-you for joining us on our blog of a trip to Thailand. Good times

hello all!
Love you! Oh man our trip is almost over ahhh we both dont wanna come back we have had such a blast! Well anywho i ended up biking like all the time since then... going on gravel roads hiking to waterfalls places where only locals go we really have seen lotsa stuff we couldn't have if we didnt have bikes! Wowie.. ahh crazy memories we have made over this trip.. now we left Koh Lanta and went to Koah Lak which is like 2 hours north south of Phuket, we stayed for 2 or 3 sleeps had a blast we went up with Tom met up with another and have been spending days at the beach steph and i that is and enjoying motor biking and going to more water falls! We love Thailand!! ahhh everyone should come here! Many good times.. now today we left and have arrived in Phuket we are so sad to be back to the two of us lol but it is good.. we are getting ready to come back home which is sad! But that's life! We are not looking forward to the long ride home but not much we can do about it. Well love you all hope you are all well

A great day

Hello faithful ppl.
Today was a great day! We have been having a blast but this was particularely great. We got to go motorbiking with the 2 english blokes all day today we are very blessed i must say they drove and we sat lol we went to see a massive i mean massive cave! At first i didnt want to go seriously i thought 3 hours was tooo long and that it would be boring i came out amazed! We saw freaking spiders the size of your face!! We kid you not! We have pictures on the way to prove it. .. That was wonderful ... the day continued with biking to one of the 3 long roads here on Lanta , we ate and had appitizers at one restaurant and then ate a full coarse at 'same same but different' restaurant then now we are on the net and yeah it twas great fun! We love biking.. think im getting a bike tomo.. eek should be a good experience. Love you all thats all folks

LANTA

hello everyone!!
Everything is going quite well i must say! We have been having a blast each day wouldn't trade one of em for the world! Now we are on the island of Lanta.. very beautiful, quiet but loud at the same time long beach is our beach of destination and we've been here for about 4 nights and Petra is coming over today and a couple other blokes * english men* from the island of phi phi have joined back up with us.. yesterday they came and we went motor biking!! YAY talk about an answer to what we were too scared to do! We drove around went for dinner like on a platform right over the water it was soo sureal you know what i mean... uhhh warm winds mmm. Anyways really all we've been doing here is enjoying the wheather and soaking up the sun... anywho we love it here and are enjoying friends and good times waking up whenever all though we don't look forward to our plane ride back lol in a loving way we'll see you all soon!

TOHKO BEACH

HELLO ALL! We are having a blast over here! Yesterday we borrowed Petra's floating matress and surfed the small waves it was so much fun!! hehehe steph and i have been laughing hysterically since we came here and we are relaxing and uhhh so much fun! By the way we met 2 friends ppl you can just chill with and enjoy the beach with...Petra is from Sweden! She is a blast, she so tanned! Anywho.. So now we have oppertunity for going places and livng in the culture exactly what i wanted! Uhhmm oh pettras b-day is on friday so well leave on saturday! I love it here!!!!!! You would too.. we are all so close its great.. yes the reception for the phone isnt that great over here! i did recieve your phone message though and we are buyng phone cards today! I am in town righ tnow we take a boat for 100 boht like 3 dollars to get to town so we are away from tuns of ppl probubly only 25 ppl are staying where we are it is great! Hamocs and everything! Uhhh anyways all in all we are enjoying every minute of our trip! We are going to buy some floating devices for the waves for the rest of our stay here! All in all i hope everyone is doing well! Please write back.. we are enjoying this all but we would love to hear from you! Oh and we hiked across the island at about 7:30 at night so dark in the jungle we laughed so hard we were all tripping and we had one torch which is a flashlight but the english men call them torches lol this torch sucked big time! Anyways many good memories have come thus far..

CHIANG MAI FUN!

Here we are and here is our update in Chiang Mai... today we went to see the elephant show i rode an elephant it was sweet! I was so scared at first i am not kidding it was so rickedy like back and forth but then we got used to it... the guy steering it was sitting literally on the head of the elephant behind his years was where his feet were he was scrunched into a ball i cant emagine making my body crumple all day...... anyways it was like 12 bucks for 30 minutes of jungle riding on a slloooow elephant cool i say. We saw a snake show yes real snakes longest was probubly 10 feet! Very sweet i didnt touch them... a funny part was they were talking about jumping snakes and getting them out! out of the box and they got it and it flung so fast into the bleachers where a man was and they freaked and then it was only a rope!! hahahaha it was great! Oh we saw a monkey show... you wouldaa liked it! Funny funny We got to hold a baby monkey!!!!!!!!!!!! it like pulled stephs shirt wayyyyy down and a nasty guy took a pic! ERG! lol but it was still funny.... that monkey was probubly half a foot.. smnalll and cute! Uhh the best part was the baby monkey and then the elephants playing soccer with huge balls and scoring goals,,, yea literally and then they painted pictures!!!!!!!! WITH THEIR SNOUTS!!! with normal brushes and tehy paint trees and flowers and like abstract!! MAN it was sooooo cool! They are so smart! Those were the best 2 outta the animal part of the day! This lady we met at the orphanage said that she would take us out today like a few days ago and she gave us her number so this lady who is the has the biggest heart in the world took us all over chiang mai to all these places and took us out for lunch at the orchid nusury! SERIOUSLY orchids everywhere! BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL! She took us later on to look for.... STEPHANYS wedding dress! you cant even emagine! The dress is sooo beautiful and it fit her like a charm she gets some extra stuff put on it! it is hand made! for 600!!!! dollars that is.. its rediculous God knew what she needed! Wow this day has been great!... oh yeah last night we shopped till we dropped at the bazzar! Crazy and we;ll probubly do it again tonight! Yup thats us crazy girls having a blast. We leave for Puket , koh Phi Phi on The 19th (friday!)

Childrens Day in Thailand

Uhh well today was kids day in town and we ate like 10 different things of fruit we never knew existed... but uh some of them were nasty lol and they kept on offering us more and yuk lol hahaha steph is too nice to them.. i just stay im full. They had dancing on stage forever... like little girls dressed up and they had their whole ruitines down.. pretty sweet if you ask us. the music was blaring seriously my ears were hurting!! The whole party was right beside this vast resivoir of beautiful (murky) water and trees! We wouldn't swim in it... they had jumpa ramas with slides on them that was rad. and a merry go around that was ripped to shreds!!! oh my goodness. But they loved it. Uhhh we saw one white girl in a thai dance that had the same hair color and cut as the rest of the thai girls.. wow we had to wonder if she was white or not... but when she danced it was totally white(tor). You hearing us. Anywho, we have enjoyed our day thus far and look foreward to what the night holds... Love you all, Adele and Steph

We made it

We have made it safely to the Orphanage we have been trying to figure out what to do here... suposudly the guy we were emailing didnt tell them about us till the day b4 we came it makes us feel awkward.. you know? We are working with it. They dint have any time to plan what we would do so we had to think of things to do... Today we ate outside on our so peaceful porch oh anyone who likes open spaces you would thinkk this place is so goreous, you could say we are in the country area.. wowie. I love it. But so far we ate and did our own dishes we had to ask to wash them cause we didnt want to offend the culture.. there is a white man who speaks thai fluently he lived here 10 years ago and was away for 10 and now he sold all his stuff in the states and is moving here for life. wow he is about 55 i would say, was a pastor too.. well steph and i were given these huge *key word huge cards of the abc alphabet with apples and stuff to represent the word and the sound of it... my grandma who is a school teacher came to mind.. so we are going to be teaching the teacher/staff/moms here lots of english. Thank God we figured our what to do. The director here is Korean.. all the kids here are from about 6 different tribes, not many thai here actually how amazing that God puts them all together and they harmonize.. The funny thing is that they had to all learn thai because they all spoke another language so they needed a main one.. Jesus is funny how he works. They always have a service at 7:00 at night with songs and devotions. Very much like our songs with actions and guitars. Havent played yet but we will be teaching them songs tonight and the rest of the week. We will also be doing a skit (devotional message) tonight and maybe another one, we are thinking of David and Goliath. Please pray for wisdom and great ideas for skits, ice-cream, events, games, songs... anything you could think. Oh and they have a KIDS DAY here lucky kids, just like any Mothers or Fathers day. So that is this Saturday, please pray that they feel so special and that we may bless them with great love, and wisdom.

Hello everybody!!!
Steph and i signing in today. We have been traveling for 5 days now. 4 of them traveling. We are alright now not really any jetleg! TAKE JETLAG PILLS they work! Anyways, our 4 days consisted of waiting long periods of time in the airports dragging our bags around lol they weren't that heavy, flying for lotsa hours waiting to conect to the next airplane of the 5 that we took. Oh Lord Jesus have mercy. We thought we were going mental at some points but at some we were laughing hysterically from lack of sleep, and we won't tell you what we were lauighing at cause you'd probubly laugh at us. But good points were that most planes except the one to Chiang mai had extra seats in it so we always had at least one between us to lay around for hours. At one point we had two seats each and did we ever sleep. Oh and when we slept over night in Vancouver, Tor and her boyfriend Kato came over at about 12:30 in the morning when we had to leave at 4:00 lol crazy crazy gurl.... let me just say we paid for that!! Tor... It was a good time but yeah like we said. So yesterday we arrived in Chiang Mai at 7:30 am we came to our hostel called the Mehong Center! THANK-YOU Berry, it is sooooo amazing this place is mint. Anyone who needs a place here it is 250 buht which is about 5 dollars Canadian! Chaa that's what we are talking about. So we didn't sleep all day, we fought the temptation!! We are survivers. So, we decided to go for a walk around the neighbor hood. (By the way we are a drive away from town) key word DRIVE. We thought we would try to walk.. on our way we saw a tuk tuk driver who we passed off on gettin a ride. About 2 minutes later we arrived to the Super Highway....... which is 5 lanes wide with various motor vehicles zooming by, uhh no room for walking. So humiliated we walk back to the tuk tuk driver and we said to each other uhh how much do you think steph 50 boht? yeah 50 boht I said. So we walked up to him and asked and he said 50 boht... wow God really told us. He is keeping care of us over here. So he ended up taking us to a SUPER market which is like freaking Costco hahaha funny we said food not bulk food. So we shopped and then we thought hey lets just see if there are any tuk tuks and uhhh notta tuk in sight. So we forget about the food we shopped for and walked across the highway which is rediculously not safe searched for a tuk tuk, gave up and had to find our way home and thank God we did. Then we just relaxed at home and eat from the snack bar here and its cheap then we went out for dinner just down the way for 1 dollar each. In conclution we tryed to stay awake till bed time and that is what we did. Today we have figured out all of the Orphanage work plands. We will be picked up at 3:30 and will head out to Doi Saket about 1 hour from Chiang Mai town Center. We will stay there with them... we are quite excited to see what will happen. We will be there for 5 days. Please pray that we will be flexable and bless the people there. We love you all and will update asap

THE JOYS OF SLEDDING

Well out here in Beautiful British Columbia i went sledding yesterday and man did it ever rock! My bro took me on his skidoo up to the highest hill ever! He left me to go get other people to join us for around 30 minutes.. so i waited and waited. Then suddenly he brings up season.. whom by the way brought crazy carpets... so as we continue. My niece Jessie came up the mtn too... she is 8 and thought the ride was incredible lol crazy girl.. any ways she wasn't willing to risk her life down this crazy insane hill that this story is all about. So I told Season she could go if she wanted, but no she wanted me to go first.. so i did.. i got on my CRAZY carpet to ride down this lush hill with a straight path to nothingness. Wow, so i get on my belly and prepare myself for the time of my life then all of the sudden she pushes me off!!! Ahhh, i didn't think i needed to be pushed off of a plunging angle! haha . Well it happened and it was amazing... i screamed for all it was worth and let loose, held my feet up so i wouldn't slow down, i was going to get all i could out of this insane ride. The snow was filling the front of my jacket up this trip was a rush straight and to the point. Then came Season i watched from the bottom and i couldn't believe that i went down that hill! Watching here was so insane. Anyways story is almost over. It ended with hot chocolate! Which was to die for when your toes are frozen! So i just wanted to share a crazy but eventful day here in Courtenay British Columbia on Forbidden Plateau. This is me signing out - Adele

THAILAND COMING SO SOON

hello all,

Well Steph and I are on our way to Thailand packing, buying and so excited! Wow, who knew that this would be able to happen! All you do to go traveling is just buy the tickets and get on your way to see the world. It seems so fast after the tickets are bought and the time is made for yourself to go on a trip! I really can't imagine what it'll be like in Thailand! I like the mystery that this trip holds. We have things planned but don't necessarily know what it will hold, which is good!
Booking hostels over the Internet has been fun, but also quite time consuming, or how about buying tickets for flying from one end to the other! Ah, but soon it will pay off! (i can't wait to see the pay off). This is one adventure!
We are planning to land in Bangkok and stay for 2 days then take a train to Chang Mai and stay for 7 days helping with youth withing our hostel (they have a ministry) and also work in an orphanage! Wahoo so exciting. Then we will continue on and take an airplane down south to Phuket then on the the island of Koh Phi Phi.. I will update on the way, but that is the basic just of it! Please pray for a great time and God's protection over us!
